In the past few days, I’ve noticed that even when my phone is connected to the Telus wifi network, there is no internet connection. This morning, I was at two malls and a Starbucks. My phone automatically connected to Telus wifi, but there was no internet. I don’t think it has to do with Telus’s wifi.
Do PM customers automatically have access to Telus’s mall WiFi networks?
From what I know, anyone can use the Telus WiFi hotspots, no matter who your cell phone provider is. This could be a problem with your phone or with Telus‘ WiFi.
I had the same problem, but I thought the #Telus network was only for Telus customers because my phone automatically connected to it when I was on Telus Mobility but stopped when I switched to PM.
I think we might have to delete the network from your phone’s settings and try to add it back, as @PJC suggested.
Did you try turning your phone off and on again or delete the WiFi network and try to connect again?
Since I switched from Telus to PM, I am getting close to the end of my second 90-day cycle. In the past 90+70 days, it would automatically connect to Telus wifi and have internet access. Maybe after 160 days or more, they realized I was no longer a Telus customer and blocked me. lol
When I had a basic phone on the Wind network, I could use a tablet that wasn’t on a GSM network to connect to the Telus network. It wasn’t connected to anything else my telus wifi.
I’ve been with PM for more than a year, and now my phone and tablet can connect to Telus. I just did it again today my telus wifi.
I’ll try again in a few more places and also remove the network from my phone’s settings and add it again. Thank you.
For what it’s worth, I can confirm that forgetting the network in your phone’s wifi settings and then reconnecting to a #TELUS hotspot does work. You will have to give them your name and email address, which you didn’t have to do before if you were a Telus Mobility customer. After that, everything works the same as before.

I am currently using Telus fiber optics and a wif-fi hub made by Telus. I want to add my own wireless router to what I already have. I just have 2 quick questions.
(1) If I turn off bridge mode on my Telus wireless router right now, would that cut off all the people who are already using my home WiFi?
(2) Do I need to add my own wireless router to my setup before turning off the bridge mode on my Telus wireless wifi-hub? This is to make sure that everyone in my house stays connected to the internet.
Please tell me what to do.
